About the Mouse eDPI Calculator
eDPI is the only sensitivity metric that lets you compare players directly. Two pros at different DPI settings still have comparable aim if their eDPI matches. This tool calculates eDPI from your current DPI and sensitivity, then converts to centimeters per 360-degree turn — the universal unit for cross-game sensitivity matching.
Why eDPI Matters More Than DPI
DPI alone tells you nothing about how your mouse feels in-game because in-game sensitivity is a multiplier on top. A player at 400 DPI / 2.0 sens has the same effective sensitivity as a player at 1600 DPI / 0.5 sens — both have eDPI of 800. The mouse moves the same distance to turn the same amount. Hardware DPI just changes the resolution of that mapping.
The cm/360 Standard
Pros and aim trainers use cm/360 as the gold standard for sensitivity. It tells you how far you need to physically move your mouse to complete one full rotation in-game. CS2 pros average 30-50 cm/360. Valorant pros average 25-40 cm/360. Apex pros run lower (20-35 cm/360) because the game has more verticality and rotation.
Game-Specific Sensitivity Quirks
Valorant and CS2 don't share yaw values — a 2.0 in CS doesn't equal 2.0 in Valorant. Apex uses a different sensitivity scale that approximates CS at 0.022 deg/count. Fortnite uses a totally different unit (X/Y sens 0-100). The cm/360 conversion is the only reliable way to translate.
Choosing Your eDPI
Lower eDPI rewards precision but limits turn speed. Sniper-heavy roles (AWP, Operator) skew low (200-500 eDPI). Riflers run mid (500-1200 eDPI). Movement-heavy shooters (Apex, OW2) and arena games (Quake, Diabotical) run high (1500-3000+ eDPI). Pick once, stick with it for 30 days, then adjust 10-20% based on whether you're missing flicks or getting flanked.
