How Name Harmony Works
We compare the letter frequencies of both names. Shared letters count toward overlap, and unique letters count against it. The result is a ratio between 0 and 1, which gets scaled and combined with a small deterministic hash bonus so that pairs with similar overlap ratios still produce distinct scores. Order doesn't matter — “Alex + Jordan” and “Jordan + Alex” return identical numbers.
How Zodiac Compatibility Works
Zodiac scoring uses the classical four-element framework from Western astrology. Fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius) and Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) feed each other. Earth signs (Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn) and Water signs (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) ground each other. Same-element pairings score highest, complementary cross-element pairings score next, and clashing elements score lower but never zero — friction can be its own kind of chemistry.
How Lifestyle Alignment Works
Five questions cover the dimensions where couples actually rub up against each other day to day: love language, ideal date night, communication style, travel mode, and default weekend. Each of you picks the option that fits best, and the calculator counts matches. More matches means higher alignment.
